Attributes of the Server day 4

A cat is the opposite of Server. This is Scooter.

12. Has a high energy level. (found # 12)

I have lived with a Server (my Dad). The man never got tired, it seemed. He'd work until it was too dark to work and then he'd come home. I can remember days of waiting on Dad to get home so we could eat supper. Mom would never let us eat without Daddy. I think it was a very good thing. When Dad went to Germany for a World Air Show where the plane he built was to be shown and flown, he was gone for a month. When he got home, he realized how precious family is and he was never late for supper after that. The thing about Servers is they truly look to help others sometimes to the point of hurting their own family.

16. Tends to be a perfectionist.
“If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right!” How many times have we heard that adage? A server must have thought it up, don’t you think?

17. Cannot stand to be around clutter.
Clean desks, pictures straight, empty trashcans… All tools on their pegs or in their drawers. Neat stacks of magazines…everything has a place and everything in its place. And this trait can be seen in children. No clothes on the floor and a server child will even clean up his friend’s room.

Look up Matthew 25: 31-46

16. Shows love for others in deeds and actions more than words.
The gift is manifested in working with the hands, going and doing, providing. This gift is one greatly prized by Jesus when he speaks to the all the nations gathered and all the ones left after the Great Tribulation.

17. Views serving to be of primary importance in his life.

19. Prefers doing a job to delegating it.

20. Supports others who are in leadership.

Never = 0
Seldom = 1
Sometimes = 2
Usually = 3
Mostly = 4
Always = 5
Total _______________

Please disregard the misnumbering of these. Brain spasms happen when one tries to do too many things at one time. I apologize.

Okay. I hope you have noticed something about these attributes and the attributes of the Perceiver. Even if you have not pegged off the chart on either one, you do have some of the attributes. It is uncanny how God has dispensed some of each gift into our personality. I love the way God uses our motivations to get His work done!

In Matthew 25, Jesus illustrates serving deeds. These are just some of the things we can do in which we are truly doing for the Lord. A Server does without seeking praise or honor, his joy comes in the doing. The pat on the back for the Server is just knowing that what he has done is the right thing... the good thing. It pleases him greatly to know that he has pleased the one he has served.
